True Value Philippines, in partnership with Wet Ones and True Value USA, donated more than 50,000 pieces of anti-bacterial wipes to hospitals and schools in major cities in Metro Manila. This initiative was in support of the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation’s Juan Communities Program, which aims to strengthen the country’s resilience against the impacts of COVID-19.
Recognizing the continued aid needed by hospitals, True Value distributed 50,000 pieces of Wet Ones to eight hospitals across Quezon City, Manila and Pasig between May 27 to June 7, 2022. Meanwhile, with the roll-out of face-to-face classes, True Value also donated anti-bacterial hand wipes for sanitary kits that were given to public schools in Malabon, Caloocan and Bulacan in the month of May.
“We are happy to have the opportunity to contribute in enabling communities to protect themselves from illnesses as the economy reopens. Hospitals and schools were sectors massively affected by the pandemic and we are honored to be able to help out educators, students and frontliners ease into the ‘new normal’ in little ways we can,” said Theodore Sogono, General Manager of RRHI’s DIY Segment.
