Robinsons Supermarket opens in Boracay, spearheads coastal cleanup
Robinsons Supermarket opened in Boracay on December 3, 2022. It is the 148th store of the Robinsons Supermarket banner and the 319th store under the Supermarket Segment of Robinsons Retail.
To mark the milestone, Robinsons Supermarket held a coastal clean-up and community gift-giving activity.
In partnership with CORA (Communities Organized for Resource Allocation), over 300 volunteers from Robinsons Supermarket, LGU partners, trade partner representatives, and the local community collected 96 sacks of coastal debris across stations 1 to 3. Volunteers from Rose Pharmacy and Handyman, which likewise opened stores in the island on the same day, also joined in the activity.
The much anticipated Harvest-All-You-Can initiative was also held where shoppers can take all the fruits and vegetables they can gather in under 60 seconds. Through CORA and Errandz, six (6) families from Balabag, Yapak and Manoc-Manoc were able to take home fresh fruits and vegetables for free as well as groceries from Robinsons Supermarket.
“Working with the local community, advocating for good nutrition, and caring for the local environment are important aspects of the way we do business. At every location we open at, we hope to create sustainable value that contributes to healthier, happier communities,” said Stanley Co, Managing Director.
