Toys R Us turns over donation to Save the Children

Toys"R"Us Philippines turned over a donation to Save the Children Philippines last January 31, 2024.

Raised through the Hug and Share Christmas Bears campaign of Toys"R"Us, the campaign ran with a pledge to donate a portion of proceeds to Save the Children’s efforts in providing greater access to quality education and ensuring that children can learn in safe and positive environments.

Receiving the donation on behalf of Save the Children were Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications and Media Director George Oliver De La Rama; Corporate Partnerships Senior Manager Riel Andaluz; and children's advocate Annabelle McDonnell. Turning over the donation were Group General Manager Celina Chua, Deputy General Manager Christine Sanchez, Marketing Manager Nach Saatchi, and Operations Manager Dennis Navato.

During the turnover event, schoolkids from the SPED program of Alabang Elementary School were present and were treated to a day of fun with Geoffrey the Giraffe. Each child also went home with goodie bags from Toys"R"Us, The Marketplace, and Kennemer Fresh.
