DepEd, GBF renew partnership for STEM

The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF), committed to advancing STEM education in the Philippines, has recently been granted an extension of its longstanding partnership with the Department of Education.

During the MOA signing event, GBF presented its key plans and programs for the next five years, which includes an enhanced focus on professional development for educators and utilizing technology to scale initiatives. The partnership underscores GBF’s commitment to supporting DepEd in its efforts to strengthen the education sector as a cornerstone of national development.

Present were DepEd officials led by Secretary Sonny Angara, Undersecretary Gina Gonong, Assistant Secretary Jerome Buenviaje, Director Jennifer Lopez, Director Ciela Mendoza, and Officer Dove Cometa. Also present were GBF officials led by trustees Chairman Lance Gokongwei, GM Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng, and Secretary Robina Gokongwei-Pe as well as Executive Director Grace Colet and Educator Programs Head Kristine Tinette Tabuena-De Asis.
