14 neurodiverse talents join Southstar in push for more inclusive workplaces

Southstar Drug welcomed 14 new team members as part of its inclusive hiring program for persons with disabilities, including individuals with neurodivergent conditions such as Autism and Down syndrome.
The new team members, assigned to various store locations as Customer Service Assistants, support daily operations and engage with our customers. Team member Zach shared, “I’ve always struggled with [job] interviews, but Southstar gave me the chance to show my skills in action. I feel valued and respected here.”
This initiative was made possible in partnership with the Philippine Business and Disability Network, the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines, the Parañaque City Center for Children with Special Needs, and the Manila City Hall PESO Office.
“Our goal is to create equal opportunities and provide meaningful employment for everyone. We are thankful to our partners and proud of our store teams for making inclusion part of the way we serve,” said General Manager Thaddeus Sanchez.
