105 RRHI Supermarkets Awarded the Gold Bagwis in 2021

We would like to thank the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for recognizing our pro-consumer efforts in our Supermarket Segment, as we ended 2021 with 105 Gold Bagwis Awardees across our banners Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Easymart, The Marketplace, and Shopwise.

The most recent awardees were all 11 of our supermarkets in Cavite and Iloilo, which were conferred the award last December 2021.

The DTI Bagwis recognition makes us proud here at Robinsons Retail and is a testament of our commitment to serve only the best to our customers and always put their welfare first,” said Stanley Co, Managing Director for Robinsons Retail’s Supermarket Segment.

The Bagwis Awards is one of the main activities conducted by the DTI in celebration of Consumer Welfare Month every October. Since 2006, the program has given due recognition to establishments “that uphold the rights of consumers while practicing responsible business.”

Criteria used for the selection of the awardees are compliance to fair trade laws, customer relations, store management operations, social commitment and responsibility, and compliance to ISO 9001 quality management standards.
